Baby Dumping- Heartless Parents and New Born Babies

The baby dumping offense has yet again found its way to be the most popular crime in Malaysia. I find crimes in Malaysia rather interesting and more violent. Violent crimes in other countries, especially European countries, have definitely a higher count rate comparing with Malaysia. But the thing is, victims in Malaysia are usually children or toddlers, and in this case, babies. Baby dumping in Malaysia
is so common, it has a higher count rate comparing with arm robberies.

The government has tried so much to help lower the crime rate of baby dumping, but all in vain. Baby dumping is still one of the commonest crimes committed in Malaysia. The minister of education have issued sex education as a compulsory subject and thought in every national school through out the country. Some religious departments even considered ridiculous ideas to lower the crime rate, some of them even considered banning the International Celebration: Valentine's Day. The PAS chief declared that Valentine's Day is one of the main cause of the high count rate of baby dumping.

Rate of seriousness in the following offenses that are punishable by law (descending order):
  1. Drink driving while under the influence of drugs
  2. Drink driving
  3. Shoplifting
  4. Breaking into a car
  5. Picking a fight
  6. Solvent abuse
  7. Shouting racist abuse
  8. Being sold alcohol at a bar whilst under the age limit
  9. Urinating against a wall
  10. Doing a paper round at the age of 11
Hopefully, everyone would agree and vote for my ratings as the best decision, unfortunately I was wrong. 'Kai Song The Great' disagreed with me that 'urinating against a wall' is not a serious offense, and decided to go against me. She claims that it might make the victim who witness it feel offended and witnessing it can be a 'traumatic experience'. Carlos, the guy who sides the winning side, decided to side along 'Kai Song The Great' because her argument was clearly overwhelming mine. Simran tagged along 'Kai Song The Great' mainly because she, too, was a girl.

MY POINT IS THAT rating offenses based on seriousness from your own perspective might be easy, but when you share it with someone else, it might not be as easy as you think. It might spark arguments, it might cause problems, and in the end, you will never get to please anyone because everyone' different.

CRIME

Crime is a sinful act that someone commits that can be punishable by law. If found guilty for breaking the law, the criminal can be prosecuted or sentenced.

Interesting facts that might turn you on:

  • Two-thirds of the world's executions occur in China.
  • America puts many more of its citizens in prison than any other nation.
  • People trust Swedes! Swedish companies are the world’s least-likely to be perceived as paying bribes.

It is not surprising that two-thirds of the world's executions occur in China as China posses 25% of the world's population. Executing would be a quick and cheap way comparing with the proper way of than facing a death sentence. The reason America prosecutes more criminals is probably because America has the least counts of bribery cases comparing with every other nations. The Swedes have the lease corruption level in the world. It is not surprising that the people trust the Swede government the most.

Crimes in Malaysia
Criminal activities in Malaysia are somehow different comparing with other countries such as the U.S. The number of house break-in's are very common where else cases involving arms and weapons are very rare, such as armed bank robberies, terrorism and so on.
This is mainly because the law in Malaysia states that weapon trading is illegal and punishable by death sentence.

Cases such as these are very common:

  • Abusive acts
  • Rape
  • Murder
  • Racism
  • Corruption
  • Break In's
  • Illegal car racing
  • Drug abuse
  • Baby Dumping
  • Reckless Driving
  • Kidnapping

Law & Criminality

The law should be the point at which savagery ended because civilization stood in its path.

ARIANA FRANKLIN, Mistress of the Art of Death

Law is what's keeping us civilized. Law is what keeps the world running. Without law there would be nothing; no schools, no jobs, no technology. We would be stuck at where we started from.

There is but one law for all, namely, that law which governs all law, the law of our Creator, the law of humanity, justice, equity -- the law of nature and of nations.
EDMUND BURKE, speech on Impeachment of Warren Hastings, May 28, 1794

Law originated from religion; religion originated from the word of God. A long time ago, God fearing people who knew what was right and what was wrong spread the word about God and struck fear into people, telling them that they will be judge by their actions and there will be consequences.

Law is not law, if it violates the principles of eternal justice.
LYDIA MARIA CHILD, speech, 1861

So now at least the people know that there are limits in their very actions. So this fear slowly developed and the people decided that some people should face the consequences of the crimes they committed while they are still alive, instead of facing them in the afterworld.

The law, in its majestic equality, forbids the rich as well as the poor to sleep under bridges, to beg in the streets, and to steal bread.

ANATOLE FRANCE, The Red Lily

Barbarians used to steal food from other barbarians but when the law came up, we now have to work or our needs. They steal food because they did not know that it i wrong, but as soon as they know that karma exists, they'd be working or their food.

The Law ... is perfection of reason.

SIR EDWARD COKE, Institutes: Commentary upon Littleton

Therefore the world have changed, with more people working and technology rising, our world has formed into this because we knows whats right and whats wrong in life.
